Image Readings: Leslie Gabaldon

Please join us for Image Readings – a monthly community gathering for image makers to share and discuss ongoing bodies of work for feedback and engagement. This month’s event is hosted by Venezuelan-American artist and commercial photographer, Leslie Gabaldon [https://www.lesliegabaldonstudio.com/]. Space is limited, RSVP required. For those who RSVP to share work, you should plan to bring prints to share on a table or digitially to be shared on a screen. About Leslie Venezuelan-born and Miami-based artist Leslie Gabaldón explores the intersection of nature, memory, and human experience through photography and assemblage. Deeply influenced by her dual cultural background—shaped by North American influence and Latin American upbringing—Gabaldón’s work reflects a search for belonging that extends beyond geography, embracing nature as a form of universal citizenship. Inevitably, she draws parallels between the cycles of nature and the spiritual journey of human life, uncovering metaphors that connect the two. Her practice calls for a renewed presence in the tangible world amid the increasingly digital reality of contemporary life. Exhibited across the United States, Latin America, and Asia, her work bridges fine art and environmental awareness, offering a poetic reflection on resilience, impermanence, and our evolving bond with the natural world.(https://www.lesliegabaldonstudio.com/)
