Wild Nite - Bats and their Benefits

Learn who bats' closest relatives are, what bats eat, and why they matter in our ecosystem! Bats are not just night-time acrobats; they are so much more! Bats save the global economy billions of dollars each year and keep our natural resources safe. After this talk, you will want to thank a bat for all their hard work and help them thrive in our environment. Cash Bar and Snacks Available. Our Speaker, Ariel Horner. Ariel is a passionate biologist with a background in protecting Florida's wildlife. She has her Masters in Biology from UCF, and currently serves as the President of the Florida Bat Conservancy. By day, she is an exotic animal and ER vet tech; by night, she feeds bats and does programs for the community. She currently lives in Christmas, FL, with her menagerie of animals (and her husband of 7 years). The Florida Bat Conservancy is dedicated to preserving and protecting Florida's native bat populations through public education and partnerships with other conservation organizations and government agencies. https://www.floridabats.org/
