Resilient Roots: Talking Trees - Canopy Health and Ecology Presentation

Learn about tree canopy health and resilience post-hurricanes at Fred Howard Park

🌱 Want to help create a stronger, greener future? Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB) at Fred Howard Park on Saturday, April 11th to learn about Tree Canopy Health and Ecology! Hurricanes Helene and Milton wreaked havoc on our Pinellas communities in so many ways, one of which was the devastating loss of many of our native trees. Learn the benefits of having trees in our green spaces, how trees can actually reduce hurricane damage, and how to plant the right tree in the right place. About Resilient Roots Project Community Foundation Tampa Bay is proud to support KPB in advancing hurricane recovery and long-term environmental resilience through the Resilient Roots Project. This initiative empowers youth and residents across Pinellas County to restore local tree canopies and improve natural spaces in four county parks following the 2024 hurricane season. These efforts will help enhance biodiversity, restore critical habitats, and strengthen our community’s resilience to future environmental challenges.
