Free Matinee for Seniors: Sarah’s Oil

Celebrate Black History Month at Aloma Cinema Grill (2155 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL) on Thursday, February 5th, with a matinee of Sarah’s Oil at 12:00 PM. Based on an incredible true story, Sarah’s Oil tells how eleven-year-old Sarah Rector, born in Oklahoma Indian Territory, trusted that there was oil beneath her barren land—and was proven right. As greedy oil sharks close in, Sarah must lean on her family, friends, and unlikely allies to protect her legacy. Against all odds, she becomes one of America’s first black female millionaires. This inspiring drama is about faith, courage, and what it means to hold onto what’s rightfully yours—even when everyone else doubts. Please note: This event is exclusively for seniors (55+). Individuals under the age of 55 will not be granted entry. A brief presentation on “The Latest in Clinical Research” will be given at the start of the event. Doors open 30 minutes before the event’s start time. Entry will not be granted once the presentation begins.
