We welcome you to attend this special event honoring the legendary General Carl A. "Tooey" Spaatz at the Parr Officer's Club on JBSA-Randolph, Texas. The Daedalians, in partnership with Civil Air Patrol and The Spaatz Association invite all CAP cadets, and our organization members and friends, to participate as The Spaatz Tophy continues its heritage tour around the country. Join us for an evening of speeches, camaraderie with fellow aviators, and engagement with Spaatz artifacts & archives preserving his legacy as we pay homage to this iconic figure of aviation, Daedalian Founder Number 309! This stop in San Antonio honors "Uncle Tooey's" contributions as a founder member of the Order of Daedalians and his time flying with the 1st Pursuit Group at Kelly Field, San Antonio. Join us in celebrating the General’s remarkable contributions to the United States military and to our nation, throughout World War I, World War II, and beyond. This event, hosted by the Order of Daedalians, America’s Premier Fraternity of Military Aviators, will bring past, present, and future generations of military aviators together as we honor the past to inspire the future of American airpower. Come participaite in an evening of fellowship as we celebrate General Spaatz's legacy and impact, honoring the significance of his role in building the Army Air Corps, in establishing the U.S. Air Force as a separate branch, and in structuring and leading Civil Air Patrol as the congressionally chartered Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.
