LATINO OUTDOOR’S 2ND ANNUAL POLAR BEAR PLUNGE @ BARTON SPRINGS This is the perfect chance to get bold and start the new year getting intentional, saying "yes", to adventure , making new friends, and celebrating the outdoor space with the Latino Outdoor community. It's an in-person, ALL- INCLUSIVE event filled with fun vibes and bold spirits—don’t miss out on this cool tradition which actually started over 45 years ago by Save Our Springs Alliance. Park on the Zilker Eagle Train Side due to construction & follow the crowd down towards the playground to the gated area towards the pool entrance. At a glance: Plan to arrive 20-30 min early for the ease of parking. This event will be going on all day with hundreds of people coming & going, however the main/ collective jump is planned at 9:30am. It really is a sight to see. Last year there was a chain link of groups of all ages holding hands as they took the plunge together. Usualy there is coffee or hot cocoa hosted by Save Our Springs Alliances. If you are not an experienced swimmer, please let us know & bring a life jacket for your comfort level.
