This Hit Me Up event is open to the public, 21+. About the Class This class explores partial or full suspension of non-traditional shapes in rope bondage. This class aims to provide an exercise in mutual creativity between bottoms and tops, and to help rope bondage enthusiasts move outside their comfort zone and typical tying practices. We will create unique ties using structural ideas but not following an existing pattern and while considering creative attachment points About the Instructors Trixie: Mistress Trixie LaPointe is a professional rope artist, dominatrix, performer and educator based in NYC and Philly. She has been exploring rope since 2018 and has been sharing her knowledge via classes and private lessons since 2021. She has been regularly seen working as a service top or performing at Red Pavilion, Le Bain at the Standard Hotel, House of Love, House of X, Tempo by Hit Me Up, Femme Fatale, Chemistry, Hot Stuff, Folsom Street East, Folsom Street SF, NDC and other events around NYC. She is proud proprietor of her own studio space La Maison Privée in Manhattan, where she holds various sessions as well as private lessons, small classes and events. Anya: Anya Demure (she/her) is a rope bondage enthusiast, teacher, and performer who is especially jazzed about beginners education! She is keen on creating and embodying interesting physical shapes, and delights in enduring physically challenging rope experiences. For her, rope bondage is endurance, sex, exercise, community, movement, art, collaboration, and mutual experience. She is also dedicated to promoting bottom-inclusive education and presentation, and fostering safe, friendly, and encouraging learning environments. She has been fortunate to teach, tie, and be tied in various communities in the US and abroad, but calls Brooklyn home. FAQs FAQ: what should I bring? Bring your full rope kit (this should include full lengths, half lengths of rope) as well as your preferred rigging equipment (strap, ring and or carabiners) and cutting shears FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?) Those participating in this class should be comfortable and experienced with partial suspensions, upline management, and communicating their experience. Tops: You will use tension, frictions, columns, etc. to create a unique tie. You must be comfortable with experimentation and possibly having things not go perfect. Bottoms: Body awareness and ability to communicate your needs is very important here given the lack of predictability involved in this exercise. FAQ: what should I wear? Whatever you feel comfy in! Bodysuits, shorts or snug fitting workout clothes are generally perfect for classes. Please just keep your bottoms on! FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner? You must come with a partner for this class. Please note - if you are planning to switch, there might not be enough time for you to try every tie twice. Price Transparency The full fee for this workshop reflects the true costs of running the event, including supplies and compensating facilitators for their labor.
