Substation presents: Goodbye June - Fusing hard rock licks with deep South blues and gospel swing, the three cousins are fueled by their desire to craft timeless, catchy and anthemic rock songs. The band formed after the death of Tyler’s brother in June (hence the band name), vowing to honor his memory with their soulful and life-affirming sound. Since the release of their major label debut 'Magic Valley', the boys have earned the endorsement of Rolling Stone, contributed “Liberty Mother” to a high-profile Budweiser TV campaign as well as a WWE theme song, packed shows across the United States and Europe with Greta Van Fleet and ZZ Top, and racked up 140 million+ Spotify streams in the process. After notching placements on ESPN, NFL, NHL, Need for Speed, and Madden (EA), the band landed a #1 placement on the UK Rock Chart with their 2022 studio release ‘See Where The Night Goes.’ Now, the band is forging ahead with their latest album 'Deep in the Trouble.' with support from Me Like Bees - “They surrounded me like bees; they went out like a fire among thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!” Psalm 118:12 No, this isn’t a Sam Jackson quote from the latest grindhouse inspired Tarantino film; it’s the impetus behind the Joplin, MO band Me Like Bees. Formed on the heels of the 2000s indie rock scene, Missouri-based indie rock band, Me Like Bees, was created by college dropout, Pete Burton and former gas station clerk, Luke Sheafer in 2009. The pair met while playing high school football together in Kansas; only to lose touch and serendipitously end up at the same college town in southwest Missouri several years later. The duo shared a mutual affinity for the music of the aughts. Bands like The Strokes, Modest Mouse, The White Stripes, and Franz Ferdinand, would serve as the catalyst to the danceable, guitar- driven rock that Me Like Bees would become known for, all of which are ever-present on their newly released sophomore full-length album — Disco Two Step. Notably, the band released their first full-length album, The Ides, via Loveway Records in 2013. In 2014, they won first prize at the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands in Hollywood, CA — beating out 20,000 other artists, and securing a coveted spot on the Vans Warped Tour. With their undeniable trajectory of growth, the group knew the next step was to make more music. They got the chance to work alongside Goldfinger frontman and well-known producer, John Feldmann for the There Will Be Time EP (2016), and they didn’t stop there. In 2018, they partnered with Image Comics and artist Jeremy Haun for the release of their graphic novel-inspired EP, Songs From The Realm.
