JUKEBOX MUSICALS BY JULIA BODOLAY* Jukebox Musicals is an exciting Master Learners program about a type of musical where the score is made up of pre-existing well known popular songs -- often from a specific artist or band -- to tell a new story or biography. Good examples are the Mamma Mia or Jersey Boys musicals. We will have fun learning from Ms. Bodolay all about this genre that blends nostalgia with narrative. *Our guest speaker, Julia Bodolay, is a Program Specialist at the Clearwater Main Library where she lectures on the history of musical theatre. Ms. Bodolay earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Florida University with a double major in Theatre and English. Prior to the her present position at the library, she worked as a Program Coordinator and Stage Manage at theatres such as The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Gulfshore Playhouse and more...
