Hurricane Action Day 2026

A day of disaster preparedness training and networking for new and current volunteers

Current disaster volunteer groups and new volunteers are invited to join Seminole County for: • Presentations and hands-on instruction from experts on chainsaw saftey, tarping roof effectively, flood muck-out, generator safety, and more. • Learn how Seminole County is poised to respond to hurricanes this year, with the help of our volunteer, faith-based, and private partners. • Network with other volunteers and faith-based organizations assisting the community during disasters. Learn how your organization can get involved. • Breakfast and lunch for registered attendees • Learn how to build your Disaster Survival Kit 30 minute hands-on workshop sessions will be offered to attendees shortly after the main presentation. Attendees can choose two courses to attend per training block. Training Block A Courses: * Disaster Legal Services * Disaster Preparedness * American Red Cross Presentation * Introduction to Shelter Training Training Block B Courses: * Disaster Insurance Claims & Coverage * Chainsaw/Generator Safety Training * Roofing Safety * Muck Out/ Mold
