Youth Outdoors Education & Skills Day - San Antonio, TX

A free day of hands-on outdoor skills activities for youth ages 9–16 with provided equipment and instruction

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Trinity Oaks Outdoors and the Weatherby Foundation International will host the Youth Outdoors Education & Skills Day in San Antonio, TX. This free event is designed for youth ages 9–16 to learn foundational outdoor skills in a safe, structured environment. Participants will rotate through hands-on activity stations including: • Shooting safety and marksmanship • Archery • ATV safety and operation • Basic first aid All equipment, instruction, lunch, and refreshments are provided. Each station is led by experienced instructors focused on safety, technique, and confidence-building. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ EVENT DETAILS Check-in: 8:00 AM Event Start Time: 8:30 AM Participants must bring a printed and signed registration and waiver form. (Digital copies will not be accepted.) Youth will be grouped and guided through each station throughout the event. Parents are welcome to stay and observe from designated areas. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT INFORMATION • This event is free of charge thanks to Trinity Oaks Outdoors and our generous sponsors • Space is limited to the first 150 registered youth (ages 9–16) • All firearms, archery, and ATV equipment will be provided • Closed-toe shoes are required Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. No. This is a free event. Participants will also receive a t-shirt and have opportunities to win prizes. Do I need to bring equipment? No. All equipment will be provided. Can parents stay? Yes, parents may observe from designated areas. What if we can’t attend? Please notify us as soon as possible so another child may attend. Can I bring more than one child?
