Ocean Drive Promenade Series: Assel Jean-Pierre Jr. Trio

Join us on Ocean Drive on August 9th for a performance from Assel Jean-Pierre Trio as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM. Assel Jean-Pierre Jr. is a Haitian-American pianist, composer, and recording artist whose music blends classical virtuosity, jazz improvisation, and the rhythmic richness of Caribbean and Latin traditions. Born in New York and based in Orlando, he has developed a distinctive artistic voice marked by emotional depth, rhythmic energy, and expressive storytelling. He holds degrees in Classical Piano and Jazz. & Composition from the University of Central Florida. Assel has performed at Carnegie Hall alongside artists including Joey Alexander and Valentina Lisitsa, and his credits also include the NFL Pro Bowl Halftime Show with Jordan Fisher, Judson's Live in Orlando, SOB's New York, and the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series in Miami Beach. Leading the Assel Jean-Pierre Trio, he delivers dynamic performances that fuse jazz, classical, and global influence into an immersive and unforgettable experience. These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Bring your chair, blanket, and picnic - ENJOY!
