Join us on Ocean Drive on Friday, July 24th for a performance featuring the Jazz Education Community Coalition (JECC) led by Nicole Yarling, as part of the South Beach Jazz Festival Summer Series. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:30 PM. The Jazz Education Community Coalition (JECC) is a community-based artistic ensemble available to all young people interested in learning jazz. JECC offers aspiring jazz musicians an opportunity to connect with recognized leaders in the South Florida jazz community, as well as with national and international jazz talents. The ensemble has performed at the Art Deco Festival, South Dade Cultural Arts Center, Pinecrest Gardens, Art Walk of Hollywood, Olympia Theater, and Dade County Auditorium, where they served as opening act for the great Paquito D'Rivera. This event is free and open to the public and will take place in Lummus Park at 14th and Ocean Drive. This program is generously underwritten by the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, the South Beach Jazz Festival, and the Ocean Drive Association.
