Join us for a Sarasota Master Gardener Volunteer-hosted "armchair adventure" at Twin Lakes Park, with podcaster and author Dalia Colon. Colon authored "The Florida Vegetarian," a cookbook that offers much more than just a gathering of recipes. In our "armchair adventure," she will share an overview of Florida’s history through the lens of food, spotlighting indigenous food ways, the rise and fall of the citrus industry, and the modern-day adaption of sustainability. When she is not talking about her cookbook, Colon is host and executive producer of "The Zest," a WUSF podcast. She can also be regularly seen on WEDU "Arts Plus" television show, which she co-hosts and executive produces.
