The Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) program, delivered by UF/IFAS through the Center for Landscape Conservation & Ecology and supported by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, provides science-based guidance on environmentally friendly landscaping practices. This workshop is designed to help homeowners begin the Florida-Friendly Landscape Recognition process. If you would like your yard recognized as a Florida-Friendly Landscape, join this introductory session to learn the key steps, review the checklist, and access resources to start your recognition journey. After “The Florida-Friendly Landscaping Recognition Process” workshop, participants may register for an optional site visit to a Gold-level Florida-Friendly Landscape in the City of Hollywood. Attendance at the morning session (9:00–10:30 a.m.) is required to participate in the afternoon site visit (1:00–3:00 p.m.) The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events.
