Space Between Us Gallery

WELCOME TO SPACE BETWEEN US GALLERY! Join us for our first art show, showcasing creatives incarcerated at SATF prison & ally artists impacted by incarceration.  This show is the grand finale of 4 on-site art shows held at SATF prison. Due to visitation limitations, we are now bringing the incarcerated artists' work outside, where the public can view their creativity and hear their stories. Space Between Us Gallery was born as a way to celebrate community, honor the impact of creativity as a method to express emotions, and to establish connection between anyone who has been directly or indireclty by incarceration. There will be: * 100+ artists contributing (incarcerated & ally) * Spoken word, visual arts, interactive arts, etc. * Letter writing station to incarcerated artists * Digital phone message recording for incarcerated artists * Food, goods, and drink vendors * Parking is free * DJs $5 w/ RSVP, $10 at the door Location East LA @coyotestudiosla Purchased artwork from incarcerated artists will be donated to organizations & causes of their choice. All art supplies provided to incarcerated artists were funded by people like us. Any show profits will be used to fund the program next year as we expand to more institutions, and a portion will be donated to Arts for Healing and Justice Network.
