Free August CEU: Neurodivergence & Dissociation

An in-person free CEU workshop on neurodivergence, trauma, dissociation, and diagnostic challenges

FREE AUGUST CEU: NEURODIVERGENCE & DISSOCIATION: Trauma, Adaptation, and the Challenge of Accurate Diagnosis Join us in person this August to explore the relationship between neurodivergence, trauma, dissociation, and the diagnostic challenges that arise when these experiences overlap. Many autistic, ADHD, and other neurodivergent individuals grow up in environments that misunderstand, invalidate, or pathologize their natural ways of thinking, feeling, communicating, and relating. Over time, chronic social stress, sensory overwhelm, bullying, rejection, and experiences of not being understood can contribute to identity confusion, trauma-related adaptations, including dissociation, emotional dysregulation, hypervigilance, and disconnection from self. This workshop will explore how trauma and chronic invalidation may interact with neurodevelopmental differences to create clinical presentations that are often misunderstood or misinterpreted. The presentation will be given by: Wayne Johnson, LCDC, LMSW. Lunch Provided by: Hara Health Center.
