Join us for Free Arts Day and get creative with a hands-on printmaking experience for all ages. Participants will explore the art of relief printmaking using pre-carved blocks inspired by iconic masterworks and contemporary imagery. Create your own one-of-a-kind prints on paper, and bring a blank light-colored t-shirt, tote bag, or other flat fabric item to personalize with bold printed designs using non-toxic, water-based inks. This family-friendly workshop focuses on the joy of print and design—no carving tools or carving instruction required, making it accessible and fun for beginners and experienced creatives alike. REMINDER TO BRING: blank light-colored t-shirt, tote bag, or other flat fabric item (optional) to print and personalize. Artist Bio Joseph Velasquez is a visual artist whose work draws from Chicano heritage, family history, and cultural storytelling. Inspired by the tradition of corridos, he creates “visual songs” that use layered imagery and symbolism to explore resilience, identity, and the stories that connect us. Free Arts Day takes place 12–3 PM on the third Sunday of every month, offering free admission and drop-in art activities designed to inspire creativity across all ages.
