The Austin Muslim Community invites you to an Open House, an evening about building bridges between neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds. So much of the distance between communities comes down to simply never having met or shared a meal. This is a chance to change that. Come spend a relaxed evening with your Muslim neighbors: tour the mosque, ask your questions, and break bread together over dinner. You don't need to know anything about Islam to attend, and you won't be put on the spot. Just good company and honest conversation. The evening features Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, who will give a friendly, plain-language talk and answer your questions. Join us for an evening filled with: Dinner provided · Mosque tour · Islam 101 + Q&A · Calligraphy · Henna · Hijab try-on · Interactive & informative booths Get answers to common questions: What is Islam? · What do Muslims believe? · Myths vs. facts · Women in Islam?
