Breakfast discussion on InfoTech's impact on workforce and economy with guest speaker Professor Kevin Taylor

Join Volusia County Economic Development for the “Q” Breakfast where the topic focus will be “The Expanding Effect of InfoTech” on workforce prep, employment projections, wages and the changing landscape with the advent of generative AI. The guest speaker will be Professor Kevin Taylor of Stetson University. Kevin has more than 20 years of high-technology industry experience, holding roles from software developer to CTO to CEO. In 2011, the software firm he founded, Obtiva Corporation, was acquired by Groupon (GRPN). Lou Paris, director of the Volusia County Division of Economic Development, will discuss the county’s first quarter 2026 economic data, which includes new residential and commercial construction permit activity, redevelopment permit activity, and municipal and county labor statistics. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with elected officials, community partners, and stakeholders, and to learn more about the state of Volusia County's economy.
