Central Florida Natives: What to Plant, Here and Now

IN THIS PROGRAM, SPECIAL GUEST, DAVIS BYRKIT (FROM WILCOX NURSERY) WILL BE DISCUSSING THE TRIED-AND-TRUE NATIVE PLANTS THAT FORM THE BEDROCK OF AN ATTRACTIVE , LOW MAINTENANCE LANDSCAPE. AS THE INTEREST IN NATIVE PLANTS GROWS, A PALETTE OF NATIVE PLANTS HAS EMERGED AS THE ‘NATIVE REPLACEMENT’ FOR COMMON EXOTIC PLANTS; THESE NATIVE PLANTS WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED IN THIS PRESENTATION. ADDITIONALLY, DAVIS WILL BE DISCUSSING SOME UP-AND-COMING ‘NATIVES’ THAT HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY USED IN LANDSCAPES AND ARE INCREASING IN AVAILABILITY.
