Restaurant Industry Glean at Enza Zaden

This is a reservation for the Restaurant Industry Day glean, May 15, 2026 (Friday) - 8am-noon. Community Harvest SRQ volunteers have the opportunity to provide help to harvest and donate produce from Enza Zaden so it goes to people instead of to waste. You'll get to take home a small bag of the gleaned produce, as thanks for volunteering. The farm is requesting that we disinfect our tires with the provided spray before entering the farm due to easily-spread tomato viruses. Do not bring fresh produce from outside the farm onto the premises. IMPORTANT: 1. Follow ALL instructions given to you before and upon arrival to the farm, this is a research facility with specific sanitation needs. Do READ the confirmation email you'll be receiving. 2. No contact with staff on the farm - they need to not lose staff time to our volunteering. 3. Please show up promptly for your shift, and leave promptly when your shift is finished. 4. Please bring your re-useable bag and water WITH you into the field, often going back to your car is not convenient until the shift is over. 5. Please note that photos are often taken at gleans. Recommended: * Sun protection * Hat * Water bottle * Bag to take home produce for yourself * Clean gardening gloves, (you can also borrow ours if you want) * Clothes you don't mind getting wet/dirty This is a farm, in Florida. There is uneven terrain, hot sun, and lots of walking/bending/lifting/carrying. We accommodate, help, and work as a team as much as we can but you are in the best position to know your own limits.
