Lynne Bernfield discusses adapting her book into a screenplay and her journey to the semi-finals of a screenplay competition.

She will recount her experience transforming her story into a screenplay and ultimately becoming a semi-finalist in the Final Draft Outstanding Screenplay competition. For over twenty years, Lynne Bernfield, MA, MFCT, hosted The Lynne Show, podcast, interviewing people who make their living or their life with an art, People like Dick Smothers and Ed. Asner; high-profile music attorney, Allen Arrow; jazz musicians Lillette Jenkins-Wisner, Dick Hyman, and John Lamb; artist Gale Fulton Ross; novelists Terry Griffin and Stuart Kaminsky; and many others. Lynne has been a licensed psychotherapist in private practice for over 40 years. Currently, her practice is on the telephone. She has clients all over the country. The founder of the Writers and Artists Institute, she has helped all kinds of artists with professional, creative, and interpersonal challenges for over three decades. Lynne is the author of the article “Psychotherapy on the Go” and two books (with audiobook versions). She serves on the Board of Directors of Sarasota Jewish Theatre and the Advisory Board of West Coast Black theatre.
