Skate LA - Venice Beach Edition - FREE EVENT!!!

Greetings, Looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon in the ENDLESS SUMMER of 2026??? Why not join us for a leisurely SKATING TOUR of Venice Beach, Venice Pier, Venice Beach Skate Park, Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza, and Venice Beach Boardwalk in VENICE, CA??? ITINERARY: 1. Meeting location and time: Meeting time: 3:30 PM PST Please meet at the Venice Beach Windward Plaza Park near the LAPD Substation located at: Venice Beach Windward Plaza Park 1 Windward Avenue Venice, CA 90291 Some attendees may be running late, so we can wait 15-20 minutes for those that may be running late. The members may chat, mingle, socialize, and get to know each other better. Activities: 2. Venice Beach Skating Tour We can set out on SKATES (Rollerblades or Rollerskates) from the meeting point at Venice Beach Windward Plaza Park near the LAPD Substation towards the Ocean Front Walk path along the beach to begin the SKATING Tour. We skate north on the Ocean Front Walk path towards Venice Park. Then we skate south on the Ocean Front Walk path towards the Venice Pier. We can stop anytime to rest and recover from the rigors of skating. The group may observe the activities on Venice Beach, absorb the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and coastal mountains, review the architecture of the myriad buildings along Venice Beach, socialize, mingle, and get to know each other better. 3. Venice Pier After the skate group tours along the beach we reach the Venice Pier where the group can rest, have some water, a snack, and continue to chat, mingle, and socialize. We skate to the Venice Pier from the Ocean Front Walk path to experience skating over the ocean on the Venice Pier. We skate to the end of the Venice Pier. The group can observe the magnificent Pacific Ocean and stunning coastal views of the beach and the mountains ON SKATES!!! Then we skate back to the Ocean Front Walk path from the Venice Pier. The group can skate from Venice Pier back to Windward Plaza to begin the next activity. 4. Venice Beach Boardwalk, Windward Plaza, Venice Beach Skate Park, Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza Once the group reaches the Windward Plaza (starting point), we can skate over to the Venice Beach Skate Park AND the Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza. We can do some SKATE DANCING at the Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza which has music, a DJ, and Skate Dance Instructors from 3 PM to Sunset on Saturdays and Sundays. I have personally participated in the Venice Beach Skate Park AND Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza activities It is VERY FUN!!! Then the group may set on on skates along the Venice Beach Boardwalk for the final activity of the event. The group may review the multitude of shoppes for clothing, Indie goods, jewelry, paintings/sculptures, food items, etc. during the skating Tour of Venice Beach Boardwalk. The group may elect to stop to enjoy a beverage and food if desired, purchase a gift from the myriad vendors along Venice Beach Boardwalk while socializing, mingling, and getting to know the other members. The group may reflect on the Venice Beach Skating Tour to discuss the unpretentious, festival-like atmosphere of the Venice Beach Boardwalk and Windward Plaza. Please bring enough water for approximately a 2 - 3 mile LEVEL SKATE along the Ocean Front Walk path and some snack items to consume during the skating event. This skating event is not meant to exhaust the attendees; it is just a light, easy, level skate to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, the views of the coast, and review the architecture of the buildings along the coast, get some exercises, mingle, socialize, and get to know the other members.
